Email from certain doctor - thinks FM doesnt work as claimed

This is the email i got from a doctor while doing enquiries:

We have seen patients who have got the so called FM performed and found NO evidence whatsoever of donor regeneration that is supposed to be the key to FM.
I do not beleive FM to be a genuine thing. At the best its a form of fue- no multiplication occurs.

And the surgical intervention is same as that for most forms of fue.

Also, that was SOOO nice of you to take the time to remove your name and email address, but not his from your post.

You should really remove that out of consideration to your doctor (he doesn't want spamers or random people emailing him as much as you do).

This "FM" craze has been disputed a good bit lately. Basically, the science behind it is bunk. Dr. Poswell can be trusted on this matter. There is no evidence that a split FU will regenerate in the donor area after a portion has been harvested for transplantation. Quite the contrary, the entire process is only a "controlled transection" of the donor follicular unit. So, in essence, what can end up happening is that not ONLY does the donor area not regenerate but the transplanted hairs can NOT grow due to transection. I have heard RUMOR (meaning don't hold me to the fire for this) that this may have been the case of a certain poster over on Hairsite that went to a physician that made hair loss sufferers PAY to participate in a TRIAL - he grew no hair.

Be weary of hype and "flash-in-the-pan" promises. Wait for positive results on a consistent basis - not hype.

His email can be found in his official website anyway, so what diff does it make?....BTW he answers enquiries and i am sure many do ask him about the effectiveness and information about newer hair transplant methods....Anyway its actually nice of him to impart his knowledge and expereince on FM and other hyped up techniques...he knows for sure first hand since he's a hair transplant surgeon

Just wondering social because I saw that complaint as well, but I was wondering if it perhaps has anything to do with the surgeon performing it. I suppose that depending on the surgeon and level of expertise it could change things drastically, if you look in the stories section for the DJguy he claims to have had great success and has pictures as well.

Well his pictures sucked anyway....and there signs that they might be fake cause in the pictures , its pretty obvious that he has strip incisions done on his head..
