Im selling my Hairmax laser comb that i bought 3 months ago brand new. im selling it for $450 U.S. It's in absolute mint condition with no scratches, dings, dents,or anything at all. It comes in the leather case with everything that it came with when i purchased it brand new. It also comes with an extra pair of comb teeth. Anybody interested please respond to this thread or e-mail me at madproductionz2000@yahoo.com . Thanks!
Why are you selling it?

Its just not really one of those things that are very popular when bought secondhand.

Though I'm sure its clean and in mint condition.

Stax 3 months is not enough time to see full benefit from the comb. Yes, within 3 months they say your scalp should become more normalized. This means fuller hair and better scalp condition. However, if your looking for denser, thicker hair, and possible regrowth you must use the comb for at least 6 months. If you already bought the comb, why give up on it so early? It does not really make alot of sense. :?

I'm with viperfish on that stax. Current research is trending largely toward LLL as a viable option for treating hairloss. Might you be giving up too soon? I dunno.

Don't begin with your simple-logic: "Tell me why can a laser beam do anything against DHT?". It's like saying about Propecia: "How can a pill taken internally combat DHT in the scalp?".

It's not FDA approved yet for hairloss because they didn't apply for it at first. It's like with Propecia/Minoxidil: We all know that it can have an impact on the front, but the studies were only done on vertex/crown - that's why their FDA approval only goes for vertex/crown.

LC wouldn't use millions to get FDA approval for HAIRLOSS (as they are doing as we speak) if they didn't knew it worked. Be patient. FDA approval will come.

Gees Stax! What you do is look up low level laser treatment on any search engine, avoid anything that links with the LC website and you've got a fairly unbiased evaluation from the medical community about the effects of low level laser on hair.

Stax your missing the point. It is currrently seeking FDA approval. It is however, a long, drawn out, and expensive process. Currently, it is the only product trying for FDA approval. Lastly, your giving up on this thing way too early. Don't you have the 5 month guarantee? Why not be fair and give it at least that 5 months?

Ok Buffboy, how does Propecia combat DHT? Mabye because they did studies with thousands of people and that it is scientifically proven to lower DHT in the body. So if we lower DHT in the body then that's less to attack our hair right? Plus it has FDA approval in the U.S. and 3 trials were done on it so how can you even question if Propecia affects DHT in the scalp? Oviously if people are keeping their hair than it does that. If you ask Bryan he will tell you how the new studies found that type 2 5-alpha reductase is found in the Papilla of the hair follicles or something like that. Anyways im not really talking in simple logic because i've used the comb personally and it hasn't made my hair regrow thicker. I mean i realy hope that it works and gets FDA approval but as of right now i just dont really buy it. It may make your hair grow healthy like viviscal or something but it doens't effect male pattern baldness IMO.
You misunderstood me. I'm not questioning the effect of Propecia. I was just trying to make the point that the argument you came with didn't hold water.

No I don't want to buy it, I will await the Phase II trial results later this year. I'm just saying that I'm optimistic.

Stax,
If I were you I would consider giving it six months and if it does not work then try to sell it. Otherwise, what was the point in buying it in the first place? It is also not a huge pain in the *** to use, so why not? Just my advice.

i agree with using something to reduce DHT with teh Laser Comb .. but what i meant was i dont think minoxidil needs to be included to see results form the Laser Comb.. Im just going to use Propecia and the Laser Comb once i get osme money.

Yeah thanks for the advice and i guess i'll probabbly use it for another few months now that im officially on the big 3. I have a couple of issues though. It takes me like 30 minutes to use the comb once forward and once backward on my scalp. Am i doing this wrong? How come it takes me so long? Also i would rather use my minoxidil on a clean scalp right after i shower because i think i will benifit from that more than the LC. So when would i use the LC then? I agree with whoever said the the LC might be effective only if used with the big 3 because DHT is a powerfull hormone and there's no way the LC can combat it.

Well we really don't know if it is doing something to DHT at this point. There are a couple of hypotheses as to what it may be doing aganist dht. So I suppose it may be possible. There is just no real evidence to support it yet. However, it takes me around 20 minutes to cover my whole scalp. I use it going backward on my scalp and then from each side of my head to the middle. I cover each spot on my scalp twice. I would recommend getting out of the shower, letting your hair dry a little, then using the comb and follow this with your minoxidil. Your supposed to use it on a clean scalp, not with minoxidil on there. Have you been applying the minoxidil and then using the comb?? Give it six months, it's not gonna hurt anything.
