My little bro just told me that sad news a little earlier. Eddie was using steroids as many of those wrestlers do. Steroids can have a major impact on the heart. Arnold Swarzenegger had to have heart sugery due to his steroid use.
Dont worry about MSM, i dont even think u could OD on it. Every part of your body utilizes MSM.

Dont forget about Kerry Von Erich back in the eighties and his brother Kevin. Kerry, the really superbuilt one, had a coke habit. Kevin was so distraught, he shot himself over his brothers death.
I hate to speculate, but Ive been around the block enough to believe that at 38, as cut as he was all the time, Eddie Guerrero proboably was using at least a few cycles of 'roids per year. Its hard to stay in that kind of shape year round. We only see body builders in contest season and wrestling is year round, appearances are year round.
Roid's like Winstrol, Dinabol, Test, and Androstenidione (despite the fact that it used to be illegal, its just a weaker steroid), screw up your heart valves, cartilage in joints, liver, can wreck your complexion if youre prone to acne, aggravate and accelerate hairloss, lead to increased body hair, make your temper flare badly........they arent worth it. And those are just the effects we know of. In twenty or thirty more years, we will see if former users get cancers, etc.
Eddie G. was a good entertainer who stayed in good shape. He was as good as the face (good guy) as he was a heel (bad guy) in the storylines. Baseball player Ken Caminiti certainly had his health go to hell on roids'.

Its hard to know if steroids cause heart damage because no study will ever be done on steroid users to compare them to non users for rates of death from heart damage. There is only anecdotal evidence of someone dying from a heart problem and finding out after they had used steroids but that does not mean steroids caused the heart problem, or if they did, that they would cause it in most people.

Arnold Schwarrzenagger (or however you spell it) has a pig valve in his heart. I get the feeling this might have been from steroids. Many of the bodybuilders, powerlifters that die so curiously early when still appearing to be in pretty good shape in their 30's and 40's seem to so often die of heart failure. I readily admit no studies confirm it, but this casual evidence sure points in the direction of "lets test for this effect (in mice of course)" to me.

You do make a valid point of course but in the case of top level bodybuilders many other factors are also in play such as extremely high calory diet (perhaps derived from high fat meats) use of stimulants to lose body fat etc etc that it's really hard to pinpoint steroids as the cause.
Even if they were the cause, the sort of steroid use that Arnold did compared to your average "recreational" bodybuilder would be like comparing a heroin addict to yourself taking an aspirin for a headache.
Finally, let's remember that the most popular steoid of all, testosterone, is a naturally occurring hormone and so isn't intrinsically harmful in any way.
Even if they were the cause, the sort of steroid use that Arnold did compared to your average "recreational" bodybuilder would be like comparing a heroin addict to yourself taking an aspirin for a headache.
Finally, let's remember that the most popular steoid of all, testosterone, is a naturally occurring hormone and so isn't intrinsically harmful in any way.
