Hello everyone. I'm a young male and was wondering if male pattern is starting to develop, thank you.

It's hard to tell from that picture. You should post several different angles so we can get a good look. Your hairline looks pretty good from what I can tell, but again, different angles would help a lot.

Yep, the right side of your hairline is losing ground. Finasteride is your way to go!

Wow that could simply be a mature hairline. We need to see way more pics and bigger ones to determine if it's male pattern baldness or not. his right side looks the same as his left to me.

btw, I'm 22 and am on effexor. I had a terrible diet for about a year(fast food everyday). Since then, my hair has STOPPED falling out. Maybe I should sue Mcdonalds, lol. I don't know if effexor has anything to do with it but I have read some places where they say it does. Also, Jayman, what exactly constitutes a mature hairline? Thanks!

a mature hairline is simply some temple recession that you have. plenty of guys without male pattern baldness get it sometime between age 18 and 29. caucasians get it more than africans and middle easterners for some reason.

can you take any pics of the rest of your scalp? like the top and crown would be nice, some wet some dry pics. might make it easier.

I tried to take some more pics, but it's tough to by yourself. I started noticed the "mature hairline" kicking in about a year ago. What are the causes of it? Could depression speed something like this up? Stress? Poor Diet?

Thanks again.

yes hairloss can speed up depression and stress.

But to actually answer the original posters question the opposite is very unlikely despite what is commonly believed.

I think you have no problem, your hairline is just maturing. Check your family history for hairloss, it is usually the better way to determine if you are in risk of having male pattern baldness.

Thanks for answering my question. There is little male pattern baldness in my famly thats of my knowledge.

Also, I had those short little hairs in the front that help form a small V . If I don't start a hairloss plan now, will I lose those hairs? I remember seeing a V there a few months ago but then it went away. Did those hairs at the point of the V just fall out or did they grow back?

Thanks for all your replies.
