Dutasteride VS Finasteride

If taking .5mg of duta three days a week inhibits 93-94% of type II and only 15% of type I dht, wouldn't this be a better than 1mg of finasteride/day which inhibits 80% of type II? I don't see why folks jump right into taking duta .5mg per day when you can start with a low dose, like 3x per week and still inhibit more than propecia. what do you guys think?

Yeah ignore him, he's a troll.
I don't really see your point in your argument of taking dutasteride 3days/week instead of ED... The point of going on dutasteride ED instead of 3days/week is just to inhibit as much as possible, not to only inhibit more than finasteride.

By the way, have a look at this page if you haven't visited it already. It contains two pretty interesting graphs about dutasteride, one of them containing info about serum DHT levels + scalp DHT levels with different dosages, measured over time. (For convenience, I added that graph to my post but you could still check out the article I linked, the other graph has more info about inhibition of type 1 vs type 2.)

Well I was trying to decide whether or not to start with dutasteride or finasteride. I thought rather than start with finasteride and then have to switch over to dutasteride, I could just start dutasteride at a lower dose, like 3 times per week, then could simply increase the dose if needed down the line? I just see alot of people complaining that the finasteride stops working after a period of time and when they switch to over to dutasteride they get major shedding.
