dutasteride Users - How Did You Begin dutasteride? Doctor Prescribed?

no sides, horrible scalp inflammation, from the moment i took the first pill. felt like I was getting blood clots all over my scalp or something. this never happened with finasteride. i don't understand it.
edit - actually, erections all through the night and frequent urination. Also, an unusual feeling when I urinate, like it just comes out, no pressure needed, with a slight tingling. but, nothing too notable.
dont want to fear monger but I was able to handle finasteride fine too. But dutasteride gave me severe mental and physical sides. So if you take it start out slow and work your way up. I quit after 3 months cause i couldnt handle the sides. And ya i had to ask for it.

finasteride and minoxidil for 3 years, wanted added density/protection so added dutasteride.
First week one avodart, second 2 avodart, Tuesday, 4th week 3 avodart, Mon, We'd, Fri, 1.25 mg finasteride EOD. Have done this for 3 months now. No change in shedding, I've always shed a lot, even when maintaining.
Maybe a slight increase in density in the mid section and crown but that was never a big issue for me. Frontal section is identical, no change.
No sides at all. I'd like to step up to every day but it's expensive.
I get it from an understanding GP who just defers to my research and knowledge when I ask for medications after s quick check himself of the safety profile.

8 months. Severe anxiety and panic attacks, really bad ball ache, hot flashes, pain in penis, prostate discomfort, joint pain, and muscle aches. When I say severe anxiety I mean severe like nothing ive ever felt before, my skin litteraly felt like it was burning.
