When you say dutasteride is 3x as effective at fighting hairloss, do you mean that you can grow 300+ hairs per square inch, versus, the 100+ on finasteride? Or you'll see results more likely, and sooner?

I believe Dr. Lee is trying to sell you his product. I see no reason why if you respond to a drug and discontinue it, that you will not continue to respond upon resuming treatment.[/i]

I agree. If anything, it would make sense that one would be more responsive to minoxidil after having taken a break from it.

it's funny because Nizoral is the one thing i have eliminated from regimen because it does not help keep my scalp in good codition. i have isolated it as a primary cause for my scalp irriation. I am going to try going back to TGEL once i've let this regimen settle in and see how that goes as.

what dose were you using. the prescription dose (3 or 5%) would do that but not the over the counter dose which I think is 1%.

You can use dutasteride and finasteride at the same time . I know someone is going to respond by saying "whats the sense" so I'll type a reply now . dutasteride blocks both enzymes .Thats the benefit .I use topical dutasteride and finasteride orally .Although dutasteride stops dht like finasteride its a completely different chemical .Use very little of dutasteride topically because it is strong .

I've been away from these forums for over a year how long has this been tried for?
do you buy the regular dutasteride capsuls then break them and put it on your scalp or is there an actual dutasteride cream out there that I hadn't heard of?
I asked this question before to a Doctor if it was possible to break the capsul and rub it in the scalp before it even came out. he told me it wouldn't work for several reasons. it was a hairloss forum and a hairloss specialist, wish I could find it.

well I'm glad that some if any have done it with great results.
