dutasteride results

hi just wondering if any one else has had any luck with dutasteride,i started out on proscar about 4 years ago plus saw palmetto and nizoral and was quite pleased with the results,small amount of regrowth and slowed hairloss down,just over a year ago i decided to try dutasteride with nizoral to try and get some improvement but results havent been great,hair is thinning more,no regrowth,hairs are thinner all over,im tempted to go back on proscar as its cheaper and have seen no improvenent whatsoever with dutasteride,infact its got worse,any suggestions?

hey man how did you get the duasteride prescription? did you just go to the derm and see him in person? Dont worry man i would definitely go on regular minoxidil twice a day if I were you, and switch to a good shampoo. Add fish oil and folligen shampoo maybe. I would drop the duasteride considering its not working for you and definitely add spironolactone 5%. I think spironolactone 5% cream is the best drug out there for hairloss almost everyone responds positively to it.

are you sure using real GSK dutasteride?

yes its gsk,it hasnt done anything for me so,im tempted to go back on proscar as its cheaper or i might give dutasteride another 3 or 4 months,been on it now for just over a year and have had no improvement,any suggestions?

wow, been over a year without results? that is unusual.

maybe you should go back on proscar. or you can try takin 0.5 mg of dutasteride and 1 mg of finasteride a day. may work????

im very sorry but im not qualified to suggest anything else. maybe some senior posters may have some idead.

If you didn't have any success with dutasteride, i doubt switching to proscar will help.
