So I 25 years old now and I was on dutasteride for about two years. Bad news was I had to quit due to gyno development and limp dick, good news was I was an excellent responder, I had regrowth, improved hair quality the works.
I decided in the middle of june 2005 that I would quit dutasteride due to the sides and start fluridil. So I started fluridil and noticed that every once in awhile I would get breast itchiness, similar to when I was using dutasteride. The itchiness was intermitent and so there didn't seem to be any pattern developing. Then I thought maybe it was the dutasteride still in my system. I've heard that dutasteride can be in your system for up to six months. My question is: is the dutasteride still potent enough to A: have ANY effect on my hair positive or negative (this is the fourth month I've been off it) B: have any effect on stimulating gyno.
OR...is it possible that the fluridil is being systemically absorbed?
As of right now my hair is looking really good, in June when I quit dutasteride I started going through a shed ( a normal occurance for me, I shed three months and then I dont' shed for six to seven) I've been using the fluridil six days a week since July 1st. What do you guys think? Is the itchiness and good hair still the dutasteride working its magic after four months of not using it? Or is is the fluridil? Help!!
