dutasteride dosage

If you are or were to take dutasteride, would you take it everyday, every 2nd day, every 3rd day?? and why?

Start one every day... From the Avodart Phase II trials hair growth on .5mg dutasteride was similar to (some say marginally better, but that is debatable) to finasteride. Might as well start with a dose shown (more or less) to be at least as good as what you are stopping, so you arent taking a step backwards.

You were taking finasteride previously wheren't you, for at least 6-12 months? (because finasteride should be the first drug you try, for lots of reasons, moving on to dutasteride only if finasteride isnt working for you...)

Yeah i took finasteride for nearly 2 years with no results. Plus brother has been taking finasteride for 5 years and his hair is still getting worse. I dont get as much erections on dutasteride so im starting to take it every 2nd and third day

I would go for 2.5mg per day for 14 days then drop to 0.5mg per day :wink:
