Dutasteride, anybody had experience with this medication? Would appreciate input!

Has anybody out there successfully/unsuccessfully used this medication? Can it be used alongside finasteride? I have always thought of this as being a more hardcore, last resort version of finasteride.

you might experience memory related problems with dutasteride since it inhibits a type of DHT used by the brains specifically in the hippocampus. finasteride should be enough unless you have seriously aggressive balding. what stage are you?

My hair is in pretty good shape compared to where it was originally but I have been on treatments for about 17 months now my results seem to really fluctuate. Last year I went through a slow 6 month shed where I lost lots of my previous regrowth, this then stopped and for 2 months I experienced solid regrowth and then again (around 3 months ago) I began to shed again and havnt stopped shedding since.

It just doesnt make sense to me. I would have though that my hair cycles would have stabilized by now as it have been over a year but I am still shedding a mixture of thin and stronger hairs. Im thinking that maybe finasteride isnt cutting it and it might be time to step up to something else. What do you think?
