I just bought a 1 ounce dropper from rite aid....works good...A good trick to get the foam to melt is to blowdry the foam while it's in the cap..and it'll melt within seconds....

Hey I have rogaine foam, however, I have longer hair and I'm afraid its not reaching the scalp. So I want to liquefy the foam and apply it via dropper. My question is what kind of dropper do I buy to optimize applications and where should I look to purchase? Locally over online, preferably.

Thanks

Just buy a fast drying version of minoxidil.

Smart, I was running it under hot water and that took a while.

This would be some sort of off label minoxidil right? Like Dr. Lee's old products, or something off gen hair. These cost usually over 20 dollars a bottle. Rogaine foam is about 11 bucks a month (free shipping) if you buy from Amazon and use subscribe and save. Plus you have the peace of mind of knowing your minoxidil is legit. These off label minoxidils could potentially be sketchy and not have the ingredients they say they do. Maybe I'm just paranoid. However, I'd rather pay 10 or 11 dollars a month for rogaine foam and liquify it myself, then pay twice that for a product that isn't even fda approved and could potentially not even contain minoxidil. What would you see as the benefis of getting a fast drying minoxidil? I don't mean that to be snotty. Just not sure if you see some benefit to the fast drying minoxidil over melted foam other than the fact that you don't have to liquify it.

But part of the reasoning for using the foam is the foam itself. Thats part of the delivery system. VersaFoam is a pretty big part of rogaine foam.

It just seems like it would be making this pretty difficult to use.

You're going to melt the foam and then suck up the liquid remains and apply over the scalp? Thats a very very very small amount of liquid once melted for the proper dose to cover your scalp. I don't think it can be done. People have a hard enough time making a bottle last a month with foam. Shake a new bottle of rogaine foam..there is barely any liquid.

I used Dr Lees for many years and now I am using minoxidil solutions fast dry. I feel 100% confident in both products. I wouldn't have hair if it was fake.

I support your concern with online products but when it comes to something cheap and easy to make like minoxidil I find it very difficult that anyone would bother faking the products.

Drugs are a different issue..

If you fill up a cap of rogaine foam half way and liquify it, and then suck it up with a dropper, it ends up being almost exactly 1 ml. Sometimes in fact, I end up with substantially more than 1 ml. I was incredulous too at first, but it's true! As for online minoxidils, I trusted Dr. Lee's. Now that he's gone, I'm not sure about any other brand. I think you're right, the odds of a fake product are slim but still possible. For me, I prefer the cheaper product and the peace of mind. Matter of preference I guess.

I'm telling ya...there is no way to get the same liquid from the foam. Sure sometimes by luck you may get 1ml but you will be greatly wasting it.
