Dr. Proctor's answers on few questions

I like Dr. Proctor's products. I believe he is the best doctor out there for the baldies. But he doesn't spend time in answering questions with details. I know that one cannot answer this exactly, but probably a guess from him would be very valuable. He is probably doing his research trying find a cure for male pattern baldness. I can understand his time constraints.
My guess is that oral NANO could be an useful option. Does anyone knows how to get the NANO (nicotinic acid Nitric oxide) in tablet form. According to Dr. Proctor NANO is as effective as minoxidil in topical form. So my guess is that oral NANO could be beneficial as oral minoxidil (loniten) has a lot of side effects.
Bryan, any thoughts?

Don't know.

> 2. Is it okay to mix and store proxiphen-N 60ml and rogaine 60 ml in a bigger bottle and apply topicals as needed?

Again, we d not now. It is probably OK.

> 3. Can I do the same with spin-trap C?

Don't know.

> 4. What is the concentration of NANO (the regrowth agent) in proxiphen-N, NANO shampoo and conditioner, prescription proxiphen?

This is proprotary.

> 5. I know that oral minoxidil (loniten) gives good hair growth, but bad sides. How about oral NANO? Is there any benefit of using oral NANO (is it same as Vitamin B3 or Niacin?) Are there any sides with oral NANO

Can't say. Sorry.

Man, if I knew nothing about this guy and e-mailed him and he responded with those answers. There is no way I would buy his product. He answers questions like he is a 15 year old in a garage trying to scam people.

Tech: Almost all the stuff you mention in your "mixing" questions are in Proxiphen.

So I don't see why you couldn't put them on your scalp at the same time. But I wouldn't mix them in the same bottle due to stability problems that might occur down the road. (I think that's what Doctor Proctor doesn't know either. He hasn't tried to mix those seperate things in liquid form for long periods of time I assume.)

The Retin-A is probably best by itself. Can you use Retin-A cream 2 to 3 times a week by itself for a few hours then wash off? I've read that that might be the best way to use Retin-A (according to the veterans).

Retin-A cream is strong stuff. Why not give that stuff time to work on the scalp by itself? That's what I do and it is helping. No irritation either.

Question: Does the peeling from Retin-A EVER STOP?! I must have the thickest "rubberized callous" on the top of my scalp in the history of mankind!! (I use the strong stuff usually. Got an rx for both 0.05 and 0.1 percent creams.)

Btw, I've read in old posts by Doctor Proctor on alt.baldspot that dietary nicotinic acid won't help. You'd have to take so much that it would be toxic to the liver, if it even worked in the first place.

I think his patent on NANO runs out in about 2010, he'll probably be more "informative" after that occurs. LOL.

thanks oldbaldy. i appreciate your comments.
As for retin-A, I was never able to use it more than 2 days a week (separate or premixed with minoxidil).
But, after starting to use spin-trap C 0.25 ml for the last one month, I am able to use xandrox 5 with retin-A everyday for the last 10 days.
(I have used folligen aloe vera in the past). In my opinion spin-trap C is the most potent SOD for the battle againt male pattern baldness. Some of the vellous hairs I had have already turned terminal in one month.
thanks for your line on nicotinic acid (oral form).
