Just recieved this today. First off I'd like to say I don't know why so many people take issue with the smell, it's very slight and you can only notice it if you place your nose quite close and have a good sniff - Even then its barely noticible.

What I'd like to know though is, how long after applying it do I have to wait before I can wash my hair? Naturally with it being a cream it does stick to my hair somewhat, and that could make styling difficult.

I can't see how, when even putting my nose to the opened tub renders very little odur.

Yes I can smell something, but its far from strong.

Everyone in my house smelled it too, and no one said it was a horrible smell or a strong one.

Smells a little like beer.

Put it on before you go to bed. Besides, it has about the same smell as a moisturizer. You'd have to be ladling on a lot for it to smell much.

I would wash it off before leaving home. The sun makes it stink like hell, supposedly because of the warmth.

47thin - It says to apply it twice a day, one of those times being before bed?

Although admittedly the directions seem to be relaxed about that detail and dont push it too much. Does anyone know what difference it would make?

Guybrush - How long does it need to be on the scalp to be absorbed fully though?

I know with Xandrox, you have to wait 2 and a half hours before you're able to wash it off.

Don't know, maybe 10-15 minutes. But it doesn't matter, it leaves your hair so sticky that you can't go anywhere...

I have been using the spironolactone cream from Dr Lee since 26/4, so far no one around me has complained about the smell :)
I have read it somewhere, it will take hours for the absorption, so it will the best to use it before going to bed, if one wants to use it only once a day because of the smell.

Right.

But I think it is still much smarter to use twice daily. If you are afraid someone will notice the smell, just use a very, very tiny amount. I noticed the smell almost goes completely away with just a tad smaller dose.

i just received my spironolactone, and applied it for the first time about 10 minutes ago.
It may be too quick to say anything, but i too do not notice an awful smell. Sure, when i put my nose right up into it i can smell something a little funky, but nothing as bad as people are making it out to be.

Also, im so shocked at how small the container is lol
