hi.
Just taking a moment to vent and see if I get any feedback.
I’ve been battling what started as (so the doctors told me) Telogen Effluvium. I tried supplements for a while and the shedding continued very aggressively. After two years of oils and supplements that did nothing I decided to treat this as male pattern baldness. I started finasteride .25mg, zix formula for topical (as many of you know all about this method of course), laser comb, derm roll once weekly and I tried nizoral but I drove my scalp nuts! So I switched to organic based shampoo with adding some essential oils in when washing. I wash 2 maybe 3 times per week.
That being said it is still moving in the wrong direction. Top of my head sheds like crazy and is super thin! My recession isn’t terrible but it’s noticable primarily only on the left. My natural part has grown thicker and my scalp is very noticeable! The part shedding looks more like female pattern lose which is very strange.
The silver lining, these darn concealers! They are the only thing that has helped! I can basically make my hair look full! Which if it keeps up at this pace I think that’ll start to fail me too!
I wish the thinning would stop or slow down and the shedding would stop!!!
