Doing all I can ?? HELP !!!

I am 35 years old and seriously concerned about my hair right now. For the past few years I have worn my hair short and either spiky or combed back. But after my last haircut just before this past Thanksgiving my hair seemed dangerously thin. It kind of hit me out of the blue. Cutting my hair short always made it look thick and healthy with no signs of thin spots or anything. But now the hair is very thin all over my head. I can still style it luckily but I have lost a lot of density. I am currently on Propecia and Tricomen and MSM.

I always assumed my hair would get a little thinner with age as any man's hair does but I'm wondering if it's classic male pattern baldness. I used to think my "growing cycles" were simply out of whack. The thinning is diffuse. My hairline is still intact though the temples are a little thin. The other strange thing is that I've never experienced an itchy scalp or inflammation or massive sheds. My anti hairloss plan is focused on stopping DHT. Is there any other reason that my hair could have thinned so much ? Is there something I'm missing ? Am I doing all I can ? I'm holding off on adding minoxidil as a last resort if I see no progress from Propecia and Tricomin. It's only been 2 months on finasteride but I'm starting to get very worried. HELP !!!

well first and foremost. you likely wont see any results from finasteride minimum of 3 months.. some people wait 6-12 to see results.

secondly.. people dont always have an itch to have sheds.. i didnt have an itch until about 3 weeks ago.. but i've been losing hair for at least 6-7 months.

if propecia doent work for you there are more powerful medications to take. dutasteride is a good one for blocking DHT if that's your plan of attack.

I agree with your desision on holding off on minoxidil.. it's apain in the *** and it's really just for regrowth, not maintiance.

Well, if you think you´re losing hair, then is highly probable that you are. Check photographs or check your family history of hair-loss, to see if you´re following the pattern. You can also ask a relative or a close friend who knows you for a long time.

IMO, your regimen is OK, but I think you have to add nizoral shampoo, if you haven´t done it by now, it´s highly recommended in the combo with propecia, in order to achieve optimal scalp conditions for regrowth/manteinance. It´s cheap and easy to apply, 2-3 times a week and it can make a difference in scalp health. It has anti-inflamatory and mild antiandrogen properties, and there´s an studie that shows his ability to increase hair diametre in 6% by his own. Majority of people uses it in anti hair-loss regimens and it´s worth the (very low) effort. Personally, I use a generic version of the main active ingredient (ketoconazole) that´s even cheaper.

My mother always told me I had my grandfather's hairline, but he had a full head of hair, just a pronounced peak. My father had a full head of hair. I forgot to mention that I do use Nizoral shampoo at least twice a week plus Revivogen shampoo, a DHT blocker. I've been seriously debating getting a Laser Comb. It's insanely expensive but I might just say f*** it and buy one. Anything to rescue my hair.

Revivogen shampoo is NOT a DHT blocker. It will most likely do absolutely nothing to stop/slow hair loss. The important product in the Revivogen line is the scalp therapy formula. That is the potential DHT inhibitor.

I believe this is alot of the reason you see alot of people saying "Oh I used Revivogen for 3 months and it did nothing for me." It's because they didn't use the real product, and didn't give it a fair amount of time (At least 12 months) to work.
