Mine got get thinner the first month or so due to the shedding but after that the regrowth has been fantastic (I think I'm a fairly good responder). How long have you been on minoxidil?

Just 2 weeks... Hoping i can get some regrowth....
My scalp is flaking and it looks like dandruff. Im using nizoral 2-3 weeks.
Did you have this problem??

Yep...I had that problem, it's common with minoxidil.
Get a good conditioner and be patient. It should go away after a month or so, and regrowth won't be noticable straight away, quite the contrary actually. Shedding means that the hair are being stimulated to grow out stronger and thicker, hence why they shed the existing hair and start growing a new one.

When you're applying something greasy and wet to your hair, it really won't look very good until you get that stuff out.

If you don't mean just "directly after", but "after" in a more general sense - two weeks is not enough to make your hair thinner even if you were applying gasoline three times a day.

Or, well. Maybe gasoline. I don't have any research data for that. But if you're not having an allergical reaction to something there really is no way for Minoxidil to make your hair thinner in two weeks.

If you suspect that you might be witnessing an allergical reaction, talk to a doctor.

Hmm, not sure you are correct? minoxidil stimulates a longer growth cycle, but I don't think it will have any effect on follicular transition to terminal hairs -- DHT is still attacking those hairs and slowly killing them. minoxidil, from what I understand, just extends the growth cycle, but when they fall out I think(?) the cycle of thinner and thinner hairs is still occcuring, just a little slower as a result of a longer growth cycle. This is why Finesteride is needed, to protect those poor follicles being attacked by DHT related reactions...

Not, sure .... but that is what I understand. Please correct me if I am misunderstanding something...

My hair just looks wet when I apply minoxidil. When it dries, it seems thicker than before I applied it.
