Does Your Hair Get Thinner Or Thicker Towards The Root?

Please help me out with this, so ive been on finasteride for about 6 months now and see little difference, if anything its worse. But about 60% of the hairs i shed gradually get thinner towards the root, while the other 40% is either kinda close to the same thickness throughout or occasionally a lot thicker. What is going on here?

Straighten them out on a white page and take a photo. Then maybe some people can help.

Some have an amazing result with finasteride, some average and some 0 result.

Some after 3 months, some after 6 months, some after 1 or 2 years.

I'm now 2.5 months on finasteride with 0 sides and 0 result
