Does this routine alter the effectiveness of the treatments?

I know you are supposed to use nizoral every 3 days....but it makes my hair look flat the day I use it, so I wondered if I could just apply it on Sunday and Wednesday, leaving the weekend (when I am out most) free - or does it have to be used consistently every 3 days or it won't work as well? Does it make a huge difference?

I don't think it makes a huge difference. Some people use it once a week, some twice a week, some every other day. The exact spacing of intervals isn't what matters; it's just the fact that you're using it on a frequent basis.
