if i started propecia to halt my receding hairline, should i be abnormally shedding from the top, which i thought was fine, it feels thin now
does this make sense

People can shed from all over on finasteride. Usually it will get better over time.
For me, propecia alone did nothing for my hairline. It just got worse for years until I started minoxidil 14 months ago. The minoxidil has given me good regrowth in front and thickening. Hair looks better than it has in many years.
If you don't see improvement after 6-12 months on propecia, I strongly suggest giving minoxidil a try. Even if you can only use it once a day.
