Does the big 3 create new follicles ?

I am trying to recover from a a NW6-7. I use the big 3, Cutrin BIO+ and some other supplements. I have read several times that when the hair follicle is dead it cannot produce hair anymore.

On my total bald spots I see alot of small hairs now, I wonder is these new follicles or the old follicles producing hair ?

As far as I have read there are no new follicles generated. Your body (all over) has lots of follicles, some are activated with age, some react to chemicals\drugs, some disappear over time--all for whatever genetic reasons.

The only way a new follicle has been created is current scientific studies where they are experimenting with "wounding" skin, healing it, and new follicles grow in the process of the skin re-growth.

There is no definitive answer on whether or not hair follicles "die" or not. Some people think they do while others think they simply shrink to a small level where the hair is just under the skin. Right now I lean toward the latter--I don't personally think the follicle "dies" but that it eventually reaches a stage where it isn't producing a hair.

Hopefully what I think is the right way...if a way to "cure" baldness with a pill or a shot is found and re-activate dormant follicles then everyone will probably regrow most of their hair.

You might want to check out stuff like KSR (viewtopic.php?f=30&t=44884), xandrox with retin A, spectral DNC, stuff like that if you wanna give the big 3 a kick :)

Spectral is also FULL of nutrients and stuff I think, so that will probably help.

((correction, perhaps it is Spectral DNC-L that you want as opposed to normal Spectral DNC, apparently it is designed for the later stages of hair loss to pull things back under control and regrow))

Some shampoos like Regenepure seem pretty cool, but do have less keto than nizoral so watch out for that.

Internally, my top suggestions would be curcumin, resveratrol, plant lignans, a multivit and krill oil / omega 3, maybe Gotu Kola (it's good for circulation in capillaries). I believe a non-inflammatory, healthy diet is good too.

Topical spironolactone will give the antiandrogen effect on your scalp an even bigger kick, but it might be overkill for now, I dunno, it's up to you really :)

You can't like, bring totally dead follicles back to life, but they stay dormant for a long time so can be revived. All this stuff should be along the right lines at least :)

Firstly you are born with all the follicles you'll ever have and this cant change.
Secondly follicles are never 'dead' they are just stuck in the dormant phase, technichly if science could find a way to re-stimulate them we could grow back ALL our hair. But this would require genetic engineering and we're still along way of that. Decades IMO.

aye, we are born with all of our follicles, they just change what they grow. If I look down at my chest I can see it is covered with very fine, blonde hairs; and so is my back, my shoulders, etc etc. If I were to grow a hairy chest these fine blonde hairs increase in size and pigmentation; "new" follicles aren't created.

Any new growth caused by current treatments is actually finer hairs increasing in size.

I am not sure if the follicles on a bald man's head are dead, or if they are so small the hairs don't even extend out of the skin. When I look at a NW6's head, you can see it is slick bald - you can't even see the thin, blonde hairs that you have that cover the rest of your body. I've read somewhere that the follicles do indeed exist, but are microscopic in size (smaller even than those blonde hairs I mentioned). If this is the case, a baldness treatment that enlarges these follicles could be very successful.

If the follicles are indeed destroyed, then nothing short of cloning would bring them back. TBH, I wouldn't be surprised if these follicles are destroyed, but I have no proof either way.

if you are NW6-7 why don't you give skin needling a try? use a dermaroller - theortically it should speed growth up
