I notice that alot of people can use multiple Topical products on their scalp and be fine. but i find that if i use 2 different topicals through out the day it leaves my scalp abit irritated :(]

Is irritation safe for hairloss or does it make it worse?

inflammation is no good for hair, I’m part of the rare group that hair loss is felt in the form of a itch, burn, and crawl. If I get a control on the feeling then I get control of the hair loss. RU has done wonders for me, and I mix it with minoxidil so it’s the only topical I need now

Im exactly the same. I can tell exactly how aggressive my loss is at the time just by how much the scalp burns. What are you doing to reduce the inflammation?

RU has cut it back 90 percent. I’m on dutasteride and since I’ve been taking the RU my hair has thickened. Without the inflammation the meds can work. I have also had success with a topical steroid mometasone furoate. I do a lot of other things and have done a lot of other things but I feel that these are the main contributors

I think the jury is still out on this. In propecia trials they used nizoral too, and many men seem to have issues with dandruff/itching and inflammation. Most likely its related, but so far there is no concrete proof they are.
Does inflammation and itching happen to your beard or chest hair or body hair? Not normally. Id guess all these things the itching/dandruff do play some unknown role in male pattern baldness otherwise why is it so much more common in men than women?
The difference between men and women with rates of male pattern baldness, and hormone profiles is good circumstantial evidence that hormones and things like this are interconnected somehow even if we never understand how.

It’s always in the area that you losing hair!!! It has to be related. When I don’t have this I don’t have hair loss, it’s that simple. I’ve been to a derm who is the #1 in scalp disorders and she says I have burning scalp syndrome. Yet, I know what it is and I know what it relates to. You control the androgens, you control everything

There is so so much no one has a clue on. You really need to safely experiment until you find something that helps. All we have really is guessing really. Educated guesses, but still
All I know is you dont see very women with these problems why? Why are these things so much more commen in men? Maybe even more common in just men with male pattern baldness? They have to related somehow.

My facial and body hair has been fine. its just on my hairline where the topical goes. i just don't know whether the topical induced irritation is safe or whether its hurts my hair.

Scalp burn/seb derm is common in women with PCOS. It’s a sign of hyperandrogenism

another thing thats started to irritate my scap is revivigen shampoo. when i put it on it makes my scalp itch and the next day after use it gives my hairline an itch in the thinning area.

Now i have used this shampoo before and it never did that previously. i dunno if there is a change in the formula but that seems to be a thing now.
