Im about to jump on the big 5 next week and i was just wondering if propecia thickens your existing thin hair? Well atleast does it thicken thin hair when your on minoxidil too? I've Pretty much finalized my regimen and this is what it consists of:

Propecia (1mg)
Xandrox 15 (night)
Xandrox 5 (day)
Proxiphen (night)
Shampoo's = Dr.Lee's Regrowth (M,W,F,) + Nano (T,Th,S,) + Revivogen shampoo on Sunday.
Hairmax Laser Comb (M,W,F)

I'll have everything by the end of next week to start this regimen. Just wating on the Propecia and Proxiphen/Nano. If things start losing ground then i'll add fluridil. So with this regimen can i rethicken thin hair to normal again? Any opinions and personal re-thickening experiences would be great. Thanks!

I've been on Propecia for 7 months and it definately has thickened my hair, although not at the temples.

Oh my god, that's not a treatment plan, that's a lifestyle! :) :lol:
Seriously, how do you have time to do anything else in your life? :p

I fully understand the desire to stop hair loss (I mean why else would I be here :)), but wow, I am impressed! I couldn't do this....the most I am, personally, willing to do is pop a pill each day and maybe use a different shampoo. :) I say this trying to be nice, and not trying to be rude or obnoxious, but have you thought about seaking help from a therapist? This is definitely borderline obsessive, just look at the number of hours a day you are planning to spend looking and/or treating your hair? :)

In any case, I hope all this is working for you?

Yeah i know lol, its a lifestyle and it fuckin sucks!!! No really its not that bad and here's how i do it all. I take my shower in the morning as soon as i get up and shampoo with the shampoo's ive listed and i shampoo everyday anyway's so it makes no difference. I take 15 minutes in the shower. After i get out the shower i apply the Xandrox 5 to my whole scalp which takes only about 15 minutes, again not that bad. Then i just do my regular sh*t and at night before bed i apply the Xandrox 15 and wait 10 minutes then apply the Proxiphen then go to bed. This takes about 30 minutes total before bed which isnt really that bad too. The only pain in the *** is that stupid laser comb which i might drop because it's the only real pain in my *** to do. I think it's helped though in my temples but no where else on my scalp and i might only use it for 5 minutes on my temples and hairline which wont be bad at all. I might do this after i've been on finasteride for at least 6 month's. I'll be starting the finasteride and the Proxiphen late next week when i get them in the mail. The thing i love about the Xandrox 5 in the daytime is that it dries and fully absorbs incredibly quick and i can go swimming 1 hour after i've applied it Dr.Lee said. So i guess it's a little bit of a pain in the *** but if it's going to keep my hair for another 10 years or hopefully forever untill some breakthough in hairloss comes out (which i think it will by then), then it's worth it. So even without the finasteride and Proxiphen i've seen a improvement on my hairline and temples forsure. I get my haircut on a #3 guard every month to see my progress and my hairline has improved and im happy. I know it's because of Dr.Lee's products because i've only been using them the past month. I've been previously on regular 5% Rogaine for 4 months before i made the switch to Dr.Lee's products. Oh i've also been using 5% spironolactone once at night too but Proxiphen has spironolactone in it so i can drop it once i get the Prox. Hopefully finasteride and Proxiphen will take me to the next level. Sorry for the long post :)

I'm using Propecia, Revivogen shampoo/ conditioner, Nizoral 2%, green tea and omega-3. I'm pretty confident I can attribute my gains to Propecia though.

No side effects at 5.5 weeks :). There may be some some shedding but I am not certain if it is not just my normal amount (I have always shed like 50 hairs or so a day for 10+yrs and I am still ~norwood 1) and I am being paranoid.

As for effectiveness, no idea -- its only been 5 weeks. I am just happy I started something, and I have had no sides at all (after reading all the scary side effect stories here).
