Before I got obese my hair was falling. During the 3 years when I was 280 lbs I literally forgot about my hairloss. Now after I lost about 85 lbs my hair is falling again..so was that just a coincidnce? Maybe fat cells converted testosterone into estrogen so less testosterone was available to be converted to DHT? Does anyone know anything about that? If there is 1% proof that obesity was the reason why my hairloss slowed down I would want to be obese again !

And it has nothing to do with nutritional deficiencies .. My dies when I was obese was pizza chips pasta chocolate .. now it is much healthier so I am supposed to have better hair from a nutritional point of view.

Lol you know what when I was obese I had a thick full head of hair. Since I started to lose it and since then around 3 years ago it’s receding and thinning at the temples. Could be coincidence but honestly I think not.

Its not beyond reasonable that losing/gaining large amounts of weight adjusts different hormone levels or things shbg levels that play into male hormones enough to change the rate of male pattern baldness or trigger whatever causes the sensitivity. Its possible but no one could ever explain why it happens.
File this under 99 percent of male pattern baldness related questions, into the who the hell knows drawer.
