does minoxidil foam 'spread' once absorbed into the scalp?

I know that liquid minoxidil had this claim, which allowed applications not having to be perfectly spread out over the thinning area.

I suspect the less availability of modes of transport (for instance, oils or water) the less spreading is involved. I notice minoxidil spreads far more on a damp head. But as long as you remain fairly consistent in your daily application, I don't think it makes much of an overall difference.
