I have a burning question that I need an answer for. Does weight lifting actually increase the rate of thinning/balding? Or is it a myth?

I dont think so. Sweating actually clears the pores of the scalp, removes dirt and promotes blood circulation. Thinning is more on genetics as far as I know.

I train seriously and heavy about 5 times a week for years now and i've always wondered about it but the answer i always get is that
normal training without using steroids won't have much effect on hair loss , maybe a minor one but not the kind that should cause you to avoid training.

If anyone got more solid info about the matter i would be glad to hear as well(not that it would make me stop lifting, but still..).

I work out + weight lifting for the last few years, I've never experienced anything like that.
If you're going to take Steroids or even Keratin then you might experience some increase in the rate of your hair-loss, but working out naturally? You're good to go.
