OK saw a picture of my hair when I was seven and it was 1000% more dense than now, does hair density change for a normal person with no male pattern baldness between 7 and 20? thanks.

sounds like youve got a lotta diffuse thinning. pics would help but i'd say jump on finasteride n maybe minoxidil, n of course nizoral.

Its called ageing!
Yes density does decrease for everybody wether they have M.p.b or not everybodies hair is at its thickest when young.
Its like the same way that skin degenerates over age.

I dont know if thinning because of aging is really true. Most women and some few men have never lost any hair and they are like 40 years old so I dont know if the aging thing is really true. Maybe men with mild male pattern baldness lose hair as they get older like a mature hair line but its certainly not everyone.

I'm sure I read somewhere that our hair is meant to thicken up between childhood and young adulthood (around 21), unless of course male pattern baldness intervenes!

So I don't think you can put it down to ageing when he is just 20. You might just be noticing the start of male pattern baldness.

I've noticed that a lot of people's hair changes around 10-13 years old, regardless of male pattern baldness. Some people's naturally straight hair gets curly, sometimes vice-versa. Hair colors change, and density also seems to change a bit sometimes (Sometimes thicker, sometimes less)
