So, if you take a look at my first thread here, you can see that I have a receding hairline. However, I have no other symptoms of male pattern baldness such as thinning on the crown or anywhere else. I have an appointment with a DERM. in January and am hoping to get on finasteride.
A lot of people say finasteride works well and I shouldn't have to worry about it once I get on it, however, I recently discovered that people are saying that finasteride doesn't work on hairlines... Even the website for Propecia states, "The effectiveness of Propecia® was demonstrated in studies of men, aged 18 to 41, with mild to moderate hair loss at the top and middle front of the head. There is not sufficient evidence that Propecia® works for receding hairlines at the temples."
I've been reading a ton of different posts online and I can't seem to come up with a consensus as to whether or not it's effective on the hairline. I'm concerned because my receding hairline is the only balding I have right now, and I don't want to get on finasteride if it's going to be ineffective.
All feedback is appreciated.
Thanks
