Does finasteride work on a receding hairline?

So, if you take a look at my first thread here, you can see that I have a receding hairline. However, I have no other symptoms of male pattern baldness such as thinning on the crown or anywhere else. I have an appointment with a DERM. in January and am hoping to get on finasteride.

A lot of people say finasteride works well and I shouldn't have to worry about it once I get on it, however, I recently discovered that people are saying that finasteride doesn't work on hairlines... Even the website for Propecia states, "The effectiveness of Propecia® was demonstrated in studies of men, aged 18 to 41, with mild to moderate hair loss at the top and middle front of the head. There is not sufficient evidence that Propecia® works for receding hairlines at the temples."

I've been reading a ton of different posts online and I can't seem to come up with a consensus as to whether or not it's effective on the hairline. I'm concerned because my receding hairline is the only balding I have right now, and I don't want to get on finasteride if it's going to be ineffective.

All feedback is appreciated.

Thanks

finasteride does work to some amount everywhere even the hair line there was a 10 year study looking at that exact thing. A lot of people say though its not perfect and its possible you still slowly lose a little over the years there. I personally think its just the DHT left over from propecia since it only inhibits like 75 percent or so. It also raises T which probably doesnt help any
Look at it this way the only real treatment option right now is propecia so its either try that to see if it helps or just accept it and wait another few years for something better. There are tons of things people will claim might help but you could spend your life trying this random stuff that was never proven. I mean every other week there is some new tonic or potion that some guy tried and claims results

Yeah I am specifically referring to CB 03 01 coming in a few years hopefully, but there might be others too. Any CB 03 01 you buy now is not from a reputable regulated company its just totally random what you might get because its not proven safe yet or approved for use in the US by FDA. Its made by Cosmo and in phase 2 I think right now
