Does Biotin improve existing hair quality?(I know it doesn't help male pattern baldness)

I found it made my head and beard and body hair grow quicker.

Well I cant really speak to the head hair affect since I started other treatments around the same time. I noticed my beard was growing quicker probably like a month into taking it.
