Does anyone use capsule filler to protect proscar when cut?

When Cutting the proscar tablet does any one use a capsule filler to protect finasteride from stomach acid and to protect the finasteride alsol from the air?What are your opinions regarding this as well?

Why would you want to protect the finasteride from stomach acid? Your goal is for it to dissolve and enter the bloodstream isn't it?

I agree with what beaner said about the stomach acid. In the early experiments with stumptailed macaques, finasteride was given to the animals as a POWDER on a piece of fruit.

Beaner I said protect finasteride from the stomach acid because I read that some pills are covered with a special enteric coating that won't let the drug out while the pill is still in the stomach. The coating protects your stomach from the medicine and protect the medicine from the acid in your stomach. Cutting these pills lets the medicine out too soon. It may then cause irritation or be destroyed by the acid in your stomach. I also read that finasteride isn't protected with enteric coating so I guess this doesn't apply to finasteride after all.
