At first I took 1 pill a day. But after one year I reduced my dosage to 3 pills a week. Now I take 3 pills a week for 2 months. I realized no alteration.

i basically take that, am on 5 a fortnight. hair has continued to thicken at basically the same rate as when i was on once a day. better in a way because lowering the dose stopped the shedding completely.

did u take finasteride before you tried dutasteride?

im just trying to get some kind of a feel for the contrast (results) between the two

im getting a little regrowth from finasteride, so im thinking i will get a lot from dutasteride ...

now the questions remain: how to switch and at what dose rate will yield the best results

it seems a lot of dutasteride users on here dont have a lot of before and after pics

Even the Gisleskog et al studies (from which I obtained all those dutasteride/finasteride charts and graphs that I've posted over the years) included a couple of graphs showing the effects of taking dutasteride ONCE A WEEK and even ONCE A MONTH (!!) at various doses. They fully support what we've been saying for years, which is that the long half-life of dutasteride allows for very flexible dosing schemes. You can take a properly-chosen dose once every few days, if you wish, although I personally wouldn't go any less often than once-a-week at the very least. Once-a-month would be pushing it waaay too much.

Agreed, and that would be 5 capsules a day, not necessarily twice per day. Either way it would be expensive!

is there any published data on long term effects on the prostate when dosing at trhis rate?
