No , they wouldnt have any affect. If you had itching from scalp folliculitus (which is bacterial) they would definitely help with that.

It might be your body were stressed by infection so you were loosing but after taking antibiotics stress on your immune system eased and that could have helped you with your shedding. I think there is no connection or there may be ,who knows!
