Does a shiny scalp mean male pattern baldness?

I have buzzed my hair and under certain lights my galea area shines.
This happens to areas with my normal density too.

Is it natural or it is a result of the balding process?

Scalp's are for the most part, shiny. Most people dont notice because their hair is so thick, they cant see it well enough. The fact that you notice that your scalp is shiny suggests your hair is thinning.

Of course I am thinning. But I can "trace" the shine even in my frontal hairline where my density is similar to non thinning areas.

Anyway, thanks for your reply- than was my main concern- if shiny scalp is normal or it's a result of inflammation.
