Hey everyone, new to this forum. 27yrs old, started thinning/losing hair around age 23. Dad is bald, younger brother is bald. It came on gradually for me and mainly effected my crown, pushed my hairline back slightly as well. I went on Finasteride a little late in the game after the crown was noticeably thin and the hairline had pushed back quite a bit. I stopped taking finasteride this summer because things were looking alright and I didn't want to schedule an appointment with my dermatologist to refill the prescription (dumb). Fast forward ~6 months and I'm thinning pretty bad again. Unfortunately, it looks like I'm back to where I was originally, maybe even a little worse. I don't have many pics of what it was like before finasteride, but it looked almost identical to what it looks like now. Good news is I know Finasteride works on its own when I take it, so I'm confident it'll fill out again. I decided to get back on finasteride and noticed a new somewhat hyped hairloss remedy just hit the market, Trinov. So, I just ordered 6 months worth from a source in Italy to see if it works. I'll update here with photos as I go.

Regimen:
1. Finasteride 1mg daily
2. Regenpure 1% keto Shampoo/conditioner every other day
3. Dermapen every 10 days @ 1.5mm (will try to work up to 2mm to get into the dermis)
4. Minoxidil twice a day (never used minoxidil before but I got it anyways, I might just leave it out and use the Trinov as my topical instead)
5. Trinov 1ml once daily

Supplements:
- Fish oil
- Vit D3
- Vit K
- Vit B6
- Vit B12
- Vit C
- Zinc
- Magnesium
- Tocotrienols (Vit E)
- Curcumin

Today (December 2018) off finasteride for 6 months with oily hair and with harsh light

As you can see my crown has sh*t the bed. So, I'm going to be strict about this regimen and see what happens. Hopefully I can get some regrowth like I did last time with finasteride. This time I'll be using some 1% shampoo/conditioner, dermapen, Trinov, maybe minoxidil, and some good vitamins. I'll do my best to update as I go.

Hoping I can get back to that.
I definitely felt a little down while on finasteride for the first few months. Sex drive was down, pretty lethargic, but it got better as time went on

Any updates?
So far so good.

I started Minoxidil + microneedling about a month ago. The minoxidil shed was really noticeable, I’m still shedding quite a bit actually. It’s surprising how much the minoxidil dries out my hair/scalp. I decided to use it once a day at 2ml instead of the typical 1ml 2x a day. Microneedling at 1.5mm was fairly painless to I upped it to 2mm. Finasteride sides are minimal, once again have slightly lowered libido, but that’s about it.

Still waiting on the Trinov to get here (should be here Monday), but I’m debating holding off until about the three month mark of Minoxidil + Microneedling + Finasteride. I’m thinking by that time the minoxidil shed will be long gone and I’ll be able to see what the Trinov is doing. I’ll also be able to get a good idea of what others are experiencing from the Trinov users thread.

As for the the results so far, I think I have a few small terminal hairs popping up below the hairline that I just noticed a few days ago. Not a big noticeable difference on the crown yet, that’s what I’m really hoping to fill in. Just staying patient with the whole process and trying to learn more as I go. This whole topic of hairloss is super interesting so it’s been kinda fun learning about it in that sense lol

Lighting isn’t the best, I’ll setup a little makeshift light setup in the future to keep it consistent. But I think the little short hairs popping up just below the hairline are new

I always had these on minoxidil, but still kept thinning overall.
