Doctor refuses to prescibe me Avodart or Proscar, HELP!

This was totally absurd but the Doctor today was like, "I'm sorry but Proscar is NOT a hair drug, and I won't even consider avodart!"

I told her , of course it is, at 1/5th the dose, then it's just called propecia. She said, Propecia yes, but that's a different drug. I said NO, they're the same thing jesus, it's just a dosage difference.

And I said Avodart can be used for hair too, it's just not its main use, and I can prove this to you.

She said, that I was wrong and that she wouldn't prescibe me these meds, but WOULD prescribe me only the 1mg propecia.

what the hell??????


They also seem to be VERY strict about prescribing pretty much anything.


If this is a business and you're the customer, shouldn't you just walk out and find a different doctor? JEez.

Try a male doctor, I doubt he would say the same thing. You shouldn't look into avodart/dutasteride unless you have gone through finasteride first. You could always buy the generics online.
