Hi guys,

I made an appointment with my doctor today, she confirmed that I had male pattern baldness at 19 however when I asked if there were any medications or treatments available she said there was nothing. It was an nhs doctor. I was really hopeing to start propecia as I have a lot of hair that could at this stage be saved.

Any advice?

thanks

I went to doctors at 19, NHS, and he seemed hesitant to mention it, just said it wasn't as bad as his, HE IS AROUND 70, did some research and got on it myself, if I would not have I would be most likely bald now at 21, just like my forefathers.

Some doctors dont like prescribing it to sexually active young men.

My advice, and I was your age, get some finasteride, the form is up to you genuine or generic, and get some nizoral or T/Gel, I prefer T/gel but hey, whatever works for you.

My regime when I was your age, Fincar from inhouse and T/Gel with coal tar, worked a treat.
