Do You Still Itch While Using Finasteride?

I've been using finasteride since March last year. I definitely shed less, shampooing, combing, taking a cap off, all much less loose hair than when I started, so it seems to be working.

There is one thing that bugs me though, I still get itch along my hairline and on the crown.

Is this normal? Is it in my head maybe? Are there any long term finasteride users who've seen this happen?

I did, don't itch it though that is terrible for hair loss. It could also be the shampoo you are using, make sure you are using a shampoo designed to help hair loss (i use lipogaine)

hopefully you're not one of those goons who washes his greasy *** hair 2x a week....that would explain it.....I've been on 5 months, no itch, just getting my hair, thus the hoes, back.

Two things; 1) either the DHT is still corroding your hair or 2) you have new hair(s) growing at an angle and "colliding" (friction) with your already existing hair.

I wash my hair every other day, I use nizoral once a week.
If it was a lack of washing my head would probably itch all over, but it's just along the hairline above the temples and right on the crown.

I still had a slight itch even on dutasteride, adding spironolactone got rid of it completely. Don't know what that means though, i wash my hair with t-gel and osmo clarifying shampoo. I stopped using nizoral ages ago.
