Do you believe that if you are going to cover all the aspects that are related to balding that you can keep the hair you have now and maybe grow some more and keep it for many many many years to come?

for exaple
using
finasteride- block DHT
Ru-Block Dht and T
Apple polly hair regrowth
foligen-scalp health (stronger healthier hair)
nizoral-scalp inflamation.

Do you think that if this worked for me that it is possible that I may keep my hair for many many years to come without rapid changes? or after 4 7 or 9 years this all will loose it's effectivnes ?
I thin if you are blocking everything and gives you hair all it needs than it will keep growing.
what's your take on this?

No I think with the current medications available I will need to shave my head in about 2-3 years if not sooner. I'm buzzing down to 1/4 inch now so it won't be much of a difference. I just need a bit more time to accept the whole situation. Unless HM happens in a couple of years there is no way I will keep my hair unless I want to completely screw up my health doing it.

I don't understand why so many ppl. equate propecia with messing up ur health...its a safe drug that has been used for a while now with no reported long term side effects besides reducing ur risk of prostate cancer

I see you dont use finasteride in your regiment. I am guessing you think it's bed for your health so you ve choosen to go with only topicals.

I've used Propecia for 2 years and it didn't do anything for me except gave me lots of zits. So no I'm prepared to take a risk just as long as it is worth it. And don't start suggesting I take Avodart because I'm done with hormone pills because that is not the answer and there are way to many side effects. Besides I look OK with a buzzed head.

Baldy if you really want to keep your current hair for a long time then you will eventually need to switch to dutasteride instead of finasteride for most likely, or just be on dutasteride now. People on propecia once they started to thin, thinned about 20% as fast as people on the placebo, on average. I'd imagine that people on dutasteride once they started to thin would thin maybe 10% as fast as people on the placebo, if even that.

If I were to design a total regimen that would let you keep your hair for as long as possible, I'd do this:

Dutasteride - 0.5 mg every day

RU- Twice per day
minoxidil with green tea extract, grapeseed extract, phenytoin and apple seed extracts: Twice per day
Tricomin- twice per day, every other day
Folligen- once a day, every other day
So you are alternating Tricomin and Folligen

Nano shampoo - 5 days a week
Nizoral shampoo - 2 days a week

I'd imagine that this thorough regimen would let you keep your hair for decades.

wow that's quite a regimen
won't finasteride with RU inhibit same things dutasteride inhibits?

not sure about that. i'd go with dutasteride+RU if you really wnat to keep your hair for as long as possible. either finasteride or dutasteride should do fine on their own at maintaining for awhile, so theres no need to add anything else until you see thinning later on

Jayman I see you have cocaine as part of your regimen. Do you believe this is specifically helping your male pattern baldness or is it just there as additional information about substances you use generally?

Global,

I don't really use cocaine. I put it in there to poke fun at biglemoncoke who has "Marijuana 1-2 times per week" listed in his regimen.

I have had great success with propecia for the last 9 years. I have kept a lot of hair that I otherwise would have normally lost. Propecia worked for me but has finally lost its steam. I have switched to dutasteride within the last 2 weeks and I'll see where it takes me. I have also added minoxidil and folligen. I have seen some growth in the month and a half I have been using them.

I don't think these treatments are forever but I do believe that many people can have great success for a long period of time. If the propecia lasted this long for me I am hoping that dutasteride will do the same. Hopefully, by then they will find the ultimate cure for baldness and I and many others won't have to worry.
