Do vitamins work and is 2% Ketoconazole much better than 1%?

The only thing that vitamins will do is help to correct any nutritional deficiencies, they won't help with androgenic alopecia at all. As for various ketoconazole shampoos, the 2% formulation is the most well studied and the only formulation studied for androgenic alopecia (both 1% ketoconazole and piroctone olamine have only been studied for dandruff/seborrhoeic dermatitis and telogen effluvium). In short, I'd highly recommend the 2% formulation, I can't imagine getting a prescription for it would be difficult.
