Hi all!

During some time in early Spring, I got really sick with a cold and it turned into Bronchitis, it really wore me down mentally and physically, it took a while for me to bounce back and even then, my mom still says I haven't been the same since. After I felt better to the point where I could go back to work, it became the busiest time of year at my job and I've been dealing with a lot of stress at work, I'm supposed to have two other co-workers supporting me and teaming up in my office, but it's literally down to only me and I can't keep up with the workload. The stress and anxiety has been insane, I couldn't hold myself together. I'm also going to be transitioning to a new job which increased my anxiety for sure.

At the end of July, I notice that my hair has been shedding and shedding and shedding and shedding. Way more than I've ever noticed, not in clumps, but I could pull out like six hairs running my fingers through (they had white bulbs at the end, if that means anything.) And a lot more when I showered. I went to my general doctor and got on Bupropion for depression, anxiety, etc. etc., plus it's helping me quit smoking (only had 2 cigs today!) My doctor told me she believed it to be from the stress and that it would go away on its own.

I'm wondering if this is Telogen Effluvium and/or male pattern baldness. If it is Telogen Effluvium, Couldn't Telogen Effluvium accelerate male pattern baldness anyway?

I'm so freaked out at how ,uch my hair has been shedding. It has definitely thinned overall, and my hairline looks to be faltering. I have an appointment with a derm on Wednesday, any advice for me? I was thinking of getting blood work done since my mother has thyroid issues and at least it would get that out of the way and any nutrition deficiencies if that. Should I just get on finasteride? Does anybody have any experience with being on finasteride and bupropion at the same time? I've never been to a derm...

I've noticed a slight slowing down of the shedding, but still not enough. I used to really have nice hair, now it's going to sh*t and I just want to shut down. This sucks so much, it's not fair... Also, I bleach my hair... I guess I should stop doing that now, right? :(

I've always had a natural widow's peak. Pics are attached, hopefully I uploaded them right. Thanks everyone.

It looks like your temples are receding.
Do you have pictures of last year to compare?

Your temples are receded. I would say Norwood 2.5-3. Doesn't mean that you will go bald. It can stay like this for another 10 or so years. Nobody knows. All genetics...

well I am worried because of the excess shedding and now i can sort of see through the hairline where before i couldn’t. I think when i go to the derm, i’m going to get on finasteride and see how i do.

Also, looking at past pics from years before, you’re right, temples has deff receded! i’m getting on finasteride!!

I'm starting to come around to liking you, perhaps your initial comment to me was just poorly executed. I've had my fair share of those here.
