Do I Have Fine Hair? Not Sure If It's Thick Or Fine

What's my hair texture? Do I have fine hair with good density? Thick hair with low density? I'm not sure, some people say I have fine hair while others say it's thick.

No, I get told all the time that I have fine hair and then thick hair by others. I've been documenting my hair texture for quite some time now. I grew it out longer than I've ever done to see how it looks when it's long and now I've cut it short to try and find out if it's fine.

I think you have dense, fine hair. If you ever start miniaturizing you're screwed, which it looks like you may be already. My healthy hairs are much thicker, but with about the same density. Same color and type of hair as you.

Where am I miniaturizing from?

I don't know. In that first picture, the close up one. It looks like some of your hair shafts are thinner than others.

That's from the back of my head though, near the nape area. Here's one from the top and side.

I have smaller hairs on the top, sides and back if you look closely. I think it's just telogen or catagen hairs. There's no way I'm experiencing dupa right now. I think it's normal for you to have some thinner hairs all over your head (back and sides too) because when you watch scalp exfoliations women also have a mixture of thick and thin hair everywhere.

It's normal, some people just have fine hair.

Do all of your hair shafts need to be equal thickness? Or is it normal for some to be thinner because of the natural hair cycle (anagen, catagen, telogen) because I have this everywhere. I won't be happy if I diffuse everywhere including the back and sides.

No problem. You don't need to be on here and neither do I honestly but I'm 34 going on 35 with high density and thick follicles. But I know how much anxiety it can bring.
