Hello HairLossTalk.com-ers,
I am doing some research on hair transplants and am wondering if Asians (of any region) do get away with paying less than their Caucasian counterparts because of lower native density, and thus, lesser grafts to be planted at recipient areas. I have some quotes from a few doctors, and most of them gave me a graft estimate normally reserved for a Caucasian male (I'm Southeast Asian).
Is it standard protocol for a doctor to give estimates without ethnicity in consideration? A Caucasian with my level of hair loss (Norwood 2.5) would usually require 2000-2500 grafts, but the doctors I've asked also gave me this sort of estimates.
