Divine Skin and %'s of ingreds..does this make sense?

Since we were being told certain ingredients were above 1%, and yet they're listed behind keto, which is 1%...they were asked about that. These are the responses:

Some of the ingredients are in reduced form and become reconstituted when mixed into the formula. For example, Aloe Leaf Juice spray dried 200X will reconstitute to what comes out of the Aloe plant, as such that if the formula requires 10 grams of Aloe Juice we just need to add .05 grams of the concentrate. This is a bit similar to orange juice concentrate which is made by removing all of the water from orange juice that can be reconstituted later when water is added. So on our label you will see ingredients listed in order of concentration in their reduced form, not reconstituted form.

Asked for clarification...this was sent:

The Revita ingredients are listed in order of their individual concentrated form and the amounts that are added to the formula. Once these ingredients are mixed into the formula, they become reconstituted. This reconstitution brings these ingredients back to their original, non-concentrated form. For example, if the amount of Roobios that is added to the formula in its concentrated form is smaller than the amount of Ketaconazole, once the Roobios has been reconstituted, it will become 2% of the total amount of ingredients in a bottle of Revita Shampoo while Ketaconazole will remain at 1%.

This makes sense for the Aloe Vera, but don't they list Apple Poly as a higher % than keto as well?

I don't like the Orange Juice concentrate analogy either as it's not very scientific. You mix the frozen concentrate in with water to achieve a certain taste. What's the baseline for %'s if they're quoting them based on their reconstitution with water?

Yes..they said privately/in emails etc that apple poly was higher. As were a # of other ingreds.

What does this say about every liquid/lotion product out there..if it's true? It's not making any sense to me...which is why I'm asking here.

I've said it before, but the whole Divine Skin operation sets off my BS meter. Their marketing is very "scientific looking", but I don't trust the integrity of their formulations.

I am using Spectral DNC, and it worries me that they talk about nanosomes and top technology, but then you have to shake it before use, which doesn't look serious. I hope that at least the minoxidil works, and I like the cosmetic side of it.

About Revita ingredients, it makes some sense to me. I am not sure about the regulations, but if they use a 1gram of a 20X concentrated extract of applepoly, then applepoly will have to go in the ingredient list after, lets say, 2g of Ketocanozole. But because of the concentration, when mixed with excipient, will be equivalent of 20 grams applepoly, which is more than the amount of Ketocanozole, but that doesn't mean that they have to change the order on the ingredient list (it might be even illegal to change the order because "internal reactions" on the bottle. This is a wild guess of mine, BTW)

When you mix concentrated orange juice with water, you get orange juice (and you are allowed to call the product orange juice from concentrated) and not just water with orange flavour. Same idea if you mix milk powder with water, you get milk. I hope I made my point clear-ish.

I think I will carry on with Spectral. Bryan was impressed when he knew the copper peptide they claim to use, and the concentration of it. But as shampoo, I am alternating Nizoral and Nano, and I am not changing to Revita. Just to don't have all my eggs in the same nest. And even if all ingredients DS list are true and they work together, I still think that Nizoral + Nano rota is difficult to beat.

Again...does anyone think this is what other companies are doing? I think I'll run it by Dr. Lee and Dr. Yechiel.

They STILL don't say on their website or even labels that DNC contains "minoxidil in nanosomes" or something similar, after it's been pointed out numerous times over the past year. Min.com has no problem saying it. DS was also supposed to send me a COA or whatever to show they do indeed use minoxidil SULPHATE as well as pure procyanidins(not just gse or apple peel extract). They never delivered on that either.

You make some very valid points. I was actually thinking about getting some DNC, but having to shake it up every time you use it doesnt sound right.

There is a guy over at HLH who has sent Spec DNC away to be tested to find out exactly whats in it and at what strength too.

Hopefully he gets back to us soon.

What happens if you dont shake it up? And do the instructions say to shake before use??

I responded to that guy though...Consumer Labs did not get anything from him. I've contacted the others I mentioned there..most don't have the capability..one said the cost would be prohibitive. I guess that's why Sandman keeps telling us to get it tested, instead of DS just changing the website and label..as well as providing proof that they use pure procyanidins and minoxidil sulphate.

Who defines or decides what the normal 'concentration' of aloe juice is? Or Aspalathus Linearis Leaf Extract (Roobios)?
