It's harder to do a hair transplant on a diffuse thinner unfortunatly. The best candidates are the one with frontal recession or a balding vertex.
There are other factors as well.
Donor area
Thickness of hair (shaft).

It may be harder to perform the hair transplant but in general the results look better because the doctor does not have to re-create the hairline. The toughest part to get right is the hairline, and if you are a diffuse thinner, yours should still be intact.

I am a difuse thiner and its geting pretty thin and i have been on minoxidil for a year and finasteride for 9 months, and havent had any regrowth yet, if i am beeeing Optimistic i would say that the loss has stopped
so have been geving a lot of thought to plan B
which i think will be hair transplant's they will just have to be the best i can get, i figure 20,000 US should be able to buy me good hair

Can you afford that much?

You reckon $20,000 for a hair transplant?

Are you serious, that's about 12, 000 quid.

I see myself going down the hair transplant route because, I've been on finasteride for over a year, minoxidil almost 6 months with nothing at all.

I'm diffuse with recession. My hair looks digusting basically.

I'm disgusted with it beyond comprehension.

Where would you travel? hair transplant surgons ib the uk, arent that good I hear. Would you travel, to H&W IN seattle?

How old are you, I'm 24 now, not far off 25 years old.

People say wait. I say bollox. Wait until your life is over and get a hair transplant when your 30 years old and hairloss doesnt matter as much.

Not in my early 20's please. I've been dealing with this for about 3 years. That's why I can't accept this. I know it's the most overused statment on these forums, but I have no other way to say it, hairloss has detroyed my life. Simple as. This isnt a winge. It's reality.

I figure 20k if the drugs dont work and my hairloss ends up a nw6-7 in the next 5 - 10 years, i think with that money i could get a slighty thin Norwood 2 or 3 with a good dr
I have seen photos of a guy who went to hasson and wong and went from a Norwood 7 to a thin Norwood 3, so i would reather send a lot to get the best posable results as they will last for ever, just hope i would have the hair to get that kinda coverage as i dont want a great hair line and big bald spot, think i would reather just be bald all over

can i afford it
well i making great money at the moment, but its still i sh*t load of money
but could save it in a year at a streach

any way this is plan B hope plan A starts working soon

BTW i am 31 and been duffise sence 23

I am a very diffuse thinner and had a frontal transplant 7 years ago and it was the best thing for the frontal area (300 micros). Even though Iam still fighting the thinning with fincar, and minoxidil, the transplant filled in enough to satisfactory use Couvre to hide most of the loss.

i think htat diffusers would be the best candidates since we just fill in what we've lost....then maybe do it again 5 years down the road.
