Diffuse Thinning With No Family History - Puzzled

Basically what the title says. I've been slowly receding for the past 4 years, but I've always retained my density. However as of June of this year I've noticed some diffuse thinning which completely took me by surprise. I can see more scalp through my hair and it just feels thinner. I have a small amount of relatives who are receding (although not this young), so I figured I drew the poor end of the genetic lottery on that one. However, in terms of diffuse thinning, I don't have a single family member who diffusely lost their hair especially at this young of an age. Anyone know what the deal is here? Seeing a derm in the coming days, though he hasn't been of much help in the past (not a hair loss specialist).

If you don't have any history of balding in your family it could just be that you are showing early signs and it actually stops. Or maybe there is some relative way back that got bald and you were unfortunate to get his gene.

Yeah I don't have a single family member that I know of that's >NW4, and those who are are past 55. I'm slightly concerned if it could be an indicator of some other medical condition?

male pattern baldness is just unpredictable as hell to be honest. But if you don't have any family history of male pattern baldness then it's worth checking it up, maybe you don't get enough vitamins or iron.
