I am 17 and I've been losing hair like crazy in the past several months, always thought it was male pattern baldness but now I suspect it could be telogen effluvium. I have genetics for both - male pattern baldness from my dads side and diffuse thinning + underactive thyroid from my moms side. Besides these I have been running modafinil for the past 6 months with dosages varying from 50mg to 600mg a day, 0 to 6 days a week and a uncommon side effect of modafinil is hair loss. I cannot afford to stop running modafinil but I can reduce its dosages to <400mg a week. I am already on finasteride, is there anything else I can do to regrow my hair?
