Diffuse Hair Loss Is Genetics Or No?

Hi. No one in my family has ever lost their hair diffusely. All of them startrd with recession.

However I have lost density on top still NW1. My scalp has become see through especially if wet or greasy. My hairline is intact but gone see through. I have been like this since 2014 and my thinning on top hasn't changed at all since. I can't grow my hair as long as before either and I believe my hair has gone limp and lifeless.

Can people share some insight? Is this still male pattern baldness?

Does diffuse thinning ever stop at a point or does it often go to complete baldness? because similar to OP my diffuse thinning has remained neutral (no further thinning or regrowth) for a couple years now. Too young for meds atm
Totally unpredictable, unfortunately. For some hairloss can remain stagnant for years after a certain point, then progress suddenly again. There's no telling.

How much density did you get back? How long did it take? Did it make your hair worse at first ?

Been using it for 4 months. According to certain members, I were a NW2 with diffused pattern before, I'd say I'm about NW1-1.5 Been using it for 4 months. Although I'm only 18. I've posted itin t the success stories if you're interested or have any other questions

@Alphalete
I guess you don't have diffuse pattern. According to pics in your diary you was slowly entering NW2 but was able to restore a lot of ground using Min.

Great results!

Diffuse thinning is the worst kind of hairloss in my opinion. You can go from a fullhead to looking very bald in no time at all. With no intervention diffusing will eventually claim the top of your head and you'll end up rocking the power donut. I rarely see people with diffuse hair loss that stays put. Receeding tends to be a bit more unpredictable imo.

Fortunately diffuse thinners can respond well to finasteride and minoxidil. There's some young diffusers that have had great results here.
