I'm a black male and I am starting to see some hair loss in the front so I want to handle that as fast as possible. I have heard that products such as rogaine do not work with black males. Is this a myth? Does race play any role with effectiveness of different products?

It might work, or it might not, but your best bet is to try it. But, since you're black, you most likely can pull the bald head look off no problem. Black guys have it good in that regard.

Yea I agree. If I was black I would just have my head. Sleazel try it out. I see a lot of blacks who shave their heads and they look good. You can try the 2pac look. I think a lot of black guys look better with their heads shaved then with hair.

Not all black guys look good with a shaved head. I'll concede that black guys with shaved heads, on average, look better than white guys with shaved heads, but that doesn't mean every single black guy will look good with a shaved head.
This reminds me of those guys who will post a picture of Vin Diesel or Jason Statham (the guy from the Transporter and Snatch) and then say, "See? Guys with shaved heads do look good." As if that proves that we should all just shave our heads and not worry about it.

Yea thats true, not all blacks look good with a shaved heads. But I actually see a lot of black guys with shaved heads and most of um look pretty good. A lot of asians look good with shaved heads 2. Just gotta find out if it fits you or not. Some white guys look good with shaved heads. But a lot of whites like myself would look like a cancer patient if they shaved their heads. Depends on the person.
I have been told that I would look good with a shaved head. Its just the shock factor and also the fact that I am only 23!!!! So I am trying to hold on and start treating now while it isn't bad. But when the time does come I am not holding on....its all or nothing!

If you don't like the shaved head look, then get on a good regimen. Like MJ says, "It don't matter if you're black or white." The treatments should work for you either way.
