Has anyone tried this? I picked up a bottle from CVS and have been using it once a day in addition to finasteride for about a month. I'm just wondering if anyone else has tried it or noticed any success or obvious lack thereof.

meh i dont believe in stuff like that, the most potent stuff for hairloss is finasteride and minoxidil. everything else is a waste of money IMO

I've been using Pura D'Or Argan Oil shampoo with 14 DHT blockers and ketoconazole.

I assume that it does nothing with ~99% certainty, with that said, it probably doesn't hurt.

Outside of nizoral and other ketoconazole shampoos (I use Regenepure DR) I'm not familiar with shampoos that specifically block DHT. Keep us updated on how it works out for you OP

The only shampoo I am aware of that studies have actually demonstrated to reduce DHT is ketoconazole shampoo (https://attackplan.wordpress.com/2016/02/27/helpful/). There are many shampoos out there that contain ingredients that supposedly block DHT, but I am not aware of tests actually done that support the claim that any of them do so effectively, other than ketoconazole.

what would happen if you used a DHT blocking shampoo and were not actually balding? I'm basically asking if someone was paranoid and started on the shampoo would the person's hair/ skin get use to the shampoo and it would not have any effects later on or would it not hurt and actually prevent further hairless down the road?

It would have no effect and would be the same as using any other shampoo

The only shampoos that will actually have somewhat of a DHT blocking performance are those that contain Ketoconazole, and the effect is very mild too.

would my hair still be subjected to shedding? and if it sheds would it regrow back to normal?

If using a Ketoconazole shampoo is the only treatment you're using, then yes, your hair will still be subjected to shedding. The treatment on its own is too weak to have any major impact at maintaining hair.
