Has anyone else here began feeling depressed since using finasteride?

I’m a month and a half in and the last couple weeks I’ve began feeling depressed seemingly out of nowhere. I’ve started to think it could be the finasteride, so I can kind of feel better knowing that it might just be a side effect. Just wanted to know if anyone else has felt this way.

I've been on finasteride for two months and yes, I am deeply depressed and it's getting worse. But it's not a side effect, its because I've seen nothing from the finasteride, not even a slow down in shedding. The idea that I'll be bald in a few years depresses the f*** out of me.

it's been clinically proven that finasteride can cause depression on the level of neurosteroids production, so if you are indeed feeling depressed and a little lethargic out of nowhere its due to finasteride.

I'll take depression and even ED if I could just keep my hair as-is. I can't afford a transplant, so it's finasteride or baldness for me.

I’ve had no thoughts about balding or anything else behind the depressing feelings, it just seems to be some internal feeling probably caused by the drug itself.

I think it is the finasteride. I can handle that and the somewhat lowered libido, I’m just hoping the gain to my hair is worth it. I think that it is working to an extent already

Finasteride definitely makes my mood a lot shittier... I tend to lose my bubbly ness on it to an extent.. I work in sales and I notice a huge difference on and off finasteride.. that said it’s a month I’m off and will be returning back on within another month.

I’ve just felt lethargic and depressed for no reason. I’ve slept 12 hours today, though 2 hrs of that was a nap after drinking.

Generic finasteride from Roman - 1 mg. Hair seems to be filling in a little and thickening up, though it is also longer. It’s pretty early though. I’ll probably post progress pictures over the first 3 months and more if I continue after that. For now I’ll still with it and see if the sides subside. That sucks it hsnt done anything for you. Maybe give it more time. Some people say results peak around 2 years or so
